Arthur

He was born August 12th, 1980. He is a technician class amateur radio operator (HAM) and member of the Emergency Communication Response Team (ECRT) in Metro Minneapolis Minnesota. The response team is used for backup communications for air disasters, terrorist attacks, and emergencies such as tornado, fire, or flood.

Arthur is now a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach Florida.  Although on the Dean's List and and graduated with honors academically, he is also certified SCUBA. 

He flies at the local airports while in Florida and hangs out at Crystal Skyways while in Minnesota. 

Since his 13th birthday and the second hour of instructor training in an R22  he has had a desire to fly rotary aircraft.

But the favorite plane and his dream plane to  someday own is the Mooney. We don't know where this love came from but we do know that his pediatrician had a Mooney. We don't know if this was his first love.

All planes, big or small, are of interest to Arthur. Fighters, tankers, ultra-lights, or commercial aircraft are in need of his inspection. It is amazing to see him sparkle when he is around aircraft.

College life in Daytona Beach has not been all bad either. This will be his fourth year and he is getting an off campus apartment again after being in the dorms for the first two. His roommate will be new but both are aviators.

He considers spring break to be a non-event. After all, with Daytona Beach 10 minutes away any time during the school year he has no desire to go to warm sunny places. He has, however, shared his room with those of his cold weather friends who felt that spring break requirement. He usually has his calendar booked; and  the family takes some of his time too.

Dorm Life at Embry-Riddle

Making time available for mom, sister, grandma and all his special people can be difficult. "We have all learned to enjoy his company when we can. ...Then seek adventure on our own."  Florida has many great attractions to see while he labors in his classes.
