Frankfurt, Germany

Outside the HBF (railroad station) you immediately are in the BIG city atmosphere not found in many cities in Germany.  Frankfurt has its share of skyscrapers and all the attributes of the large city ....the river walk along the Rhine ...the parkways and boulevards ... the downtown shopping.

It's easy to find a pub or patio for a snack, drink, or meal.

From many vantage points in the city you see the old with the new in the same view, parkways and monuments, art and memorials.

If you come in by air at terminal 1 you will have to take the Sky Train to get over to terminal 2 and then go to the lowest level to catch a train (You can take almost any train but the S9 is also a choice) to the Hauptbahnhof (HBF) in downtown Frankfurt.

The view from the platform high atop the Main Tower is awesome. It is open to wind and rain and over 50 stories above the city. Put it on the list for your visit.
