The fair hosts the daily parade.

Every day there is at least one parade. Different marching bands every day. Always something different. Pickles, unicorns, frogs, and horses.

The River Ride is popular and a hoot! Plan to get wet ...at least your feet and butt.

     

The TV and radio stations broadcast from the fair. There are 5+ free stages with a wide assortment of entertainment.

           

  

  

Paul Wilson is the leader of a couple of folkmusic groups, Skål Klubb and Skålmusik and a budding luthier. We also perform as a duo at Scandinavian festivals, teach Scandinavian music and folkdance in schools and generally hobnob and carry-on with other folks who value such things.

The local TV and radio stations are trying their best to attract their viewers into their booths. Buy calendars, shirts, get free bags and trinkets, the Minnesota State Fair is all things to all people. Ron Shara is always at the fair. He hosts an outdoor show that is popular due to a black Labrador named Raven.

  

 

Butter sculpting, who else could be the subject but Princess Kay of the Milky Way. This is an area that reveres the cow and all the products she can produce.

   

The grassy expanse by the Leinie bandshell are a perfect place to relax with a Honeyweiss beer or a good ale.

  

And it is always a summertime treat to see the Budweiser team spend their week in Minnesota.
