July 2008 Update

The contractors have done well involving the city in the progress. Publicity follows the major steps and signs explain. They are placed along the bridge paralleling the construction. They also have a weekend tour to explain the weeks progress and their engineers can get into detail. Having a bike/walkway adjacent to overlook the work site 24/7 is special.

The 7 foot gap will be filled in the week after the 4th of July and the bridge will be tied together at the same elevation. In these photos the west  end is higher than the east and the gap is slightly wedge shaped.
