Sandos Playacar's

Beach to the South

South of the Playacar resorts is an undeveloped area terminating in rocky rugged coastline. Scattered along the sandy coast are interesting rock formations, critters (iguanas and crabs, etc), burrs and stickers, and multitudes of hazards. It is not an area for youngsters to run free. However it is not the clothing optional area that some seek; traffic from the walkers is high, photographers abound and it is not legal in Mexico.  This is not to say you won't see a breast or bun but you are more apt to see young couples sitting on the rocks watching the ocean and the passing fishing boats and occasional distant cruise ship.

Look amongst the debris as you walk the beach ad you'll see lots of plastic.  The strech is about 1.5 miles long (2 km?) and is the native sand instead of the dredged coral and shell chips used to rebuild the beaches of Playacar. This is a great area to bring a towel and catch the sun for a few hours of relaxation.

You might even find sandy cheeks passing into the distance.
