Many outside venders show their products in the central mall area of the resort. This glass artisan had very competitive prices and the resort guests were fascinated watching him create the pieces. They also seemed to enjoy watching the painter with his spray cans and showmanship.

The security cameras everywhere have been added since 2007.

North of Caracol the beach is filling in with mega resorts and a few boutique resorts.

New friends are frequenting the common areas of the Caracol. Cats are everywhere around the spa, gift shop and lobby. A family of racoons are out every night to beg for ice cream cones and anything else the guests provide. The baby racoons have had their shots and play with the kids in the evening.

On Mexican night they have pinatas strung for the kids, strolling Mariachis and a typical Mexican clown plus lots of craft booths.

Piano bar display of food and gifts for the family and friends that have passed away.

Christmas decorations are up by the end of November and the staff has a lot of fun decorating. The large lobby tree gets a lot of attention.
