Zander's 3rd Year

January 2008

Everything was looking up and I was feeling lots better by the start of the new year.

My uncle visited again and I got to show him how well I learned to bowl.

I use a BIG ball.

The ball goes so slow I get bored waiting to pick up my spare.

February 2008

This was a tough month for everyone in Minnesota. We went to McDonald's for french fries. I ate my food and some of mom's food also.

I spent a lot of time in the playland and met a new friend.

March 2008

We had few pictures for this month. Everyone was very depressed after the longest winter in 99 years. But I had fun rolling on the floor and playing ball at my aunt/uncle Avis and Randy's place.

April 2008

The cold and rainy weather continues.

I am practicing real hard with my bat-bat ball set. I set the bases in grandma's backyard. Then I hit the ball and dad and mom chase after it while I run the bases.

My tree in grandma's backyard is now blooming.

May 2008

Finally spring has arrived. We can go to the real ballpark to practice.

We can take walks along the lake and play on the playground.

Mom and Dad took me to the Metrodome to see the Twins play Detroit. We won! I was very excited and had a great time.

And we went to Perkins for Mother's Day. My grandma and GG were there and I spent time coloring.

June 2008

A special month as my uncle got married. Everyone was busy and I had to find my own entertainment.

I checked out the drain quality in the reception hall.

The next day when they married I got all dressed up and had an important job of being the ringbearer.

July 2008

The play area at grandma's is coming along real well. I have places now to climb, swing, slide, and use my toys in a crab sandbox.

I had my first umbrella drink and the umbrella didn't make it taste better.

August 2008

I got my new helmet at the State Fair Kare11 booth. I didn't like the long wait but dad took me for a foot long hot dog while we waited.

The State Fair was a great time. I saw lots of animals and even had a chance to tour the children's farmyard.  My John Deere hat and apron and I was ready to do my chores. I even got paid for my labor. I sure ate a lot and the best were the cheese curds.

September 2008

Fall in Minnesota meant we were off to the apple orchard. Dad helped me reached the great apples near the top of the tree.

They also had animals to mingle with and feed. We rode the hay wagon and enjoyed a beautiful fall day.

October 2008

Time at the Mall of America checking out the ol' home plate of the Met stadium and eyeballing the red chair for the distance to the  home run. We rode rides and also did the ferris wheel.

November 2008

This month I got to express my creativity  and also met my "cousin" Griffin for the first time.

It was football time and Manning is my man. It was also my last fire in the pit for 2008.

December 2008

I really got to use my snow gear this month and also we all went to the HoliDazzle parade in downtown Minneapolis. What  a treat to see the doodlebug snowman all dressed up as Joe Mauer from my Minnesota Twins.

I ended my year and gave to the Salvation Army when we visited the downtown Macy's and their Christmas displays.
