Stockholm Central

Even though the suns rays are long (or non- existent) for much of the day, it is great to enjoy the sunshine and lack of pollution. The airport is at least 40 minutes from the center of the city accessible by car, train or bus. The train is on full schedule now but the bus is comfortable and less expensive unless in winter. These hardy souls do not heat their public transportation to a comfortable sitting temperature.

Plenty of bikes and plenty of taxi's assure getting around Stockholm is easy. Buses abound and trains head regularly to the suburbs. Walking is fun and interesting too. Or possibly have a adult beverage and read the morning news.

This is not a country to find bright colors.

The area around the railroad station has plenty of shops and places to explore. In the distance you can see the state church.
