Greenwich

Birthplace of the Zulu time standard (Greenwich Mean Time or GMT), the observatory sits high on a hill overlooking the Thames river on the portal to the sea.

The Prime Meridian

On display is the Gypsy Moth, which made a solo trip around the world.  This is also the location of the Maritime museum so many hours can be spent browsing and looking over the items of the sea and ships.

Clock Museum and the National Laboratory

The Cesium time standard (manufactured by then Hewlett-Packard) now holds a place of honor in the museum. This was the the instrument that I used when in the US Air Force to sync our system clocks in the 1960's. I had an uncontrollable urge to get out my non-metallic screwdriver to tweak the controls once more.
