Greenwich
Birthplace of the Zulu time standard (Greenwich Mean Time or GMT),
the observatory sits high on a hill overlooking the Thames river on the portal to the sea.
The Prime Meridian
On display is the Gypsy Moth, which made a solo
trip around the
world. This is also the location of the Maritime museum so
many hours can be spent browsing and looking over the items of the sea and
ships.

Clock Museum and the National Laboratory
The Cesium time standard (manufactured by then Hewlett-Packard) now
holds a place of honor in the museum. This was the the instrument that I used when in the
US Air Force to sync our system clocks in the 1960's. I had an uncontrollable urge to get
out my non-metallic screwdriver to tweak the controls once more.
