The Hua Qing pool is located at the foot of Mount Li. It is built on the ruins of the palace. The pool was built originally with white jade and in the center the fountain resembled a flowering crabapple blossom.

Adjoining lodges allowed the wives to be separate from the concubines. Lady Yang certainly led an interesting life. She was Emperor Xuan Zong's "favorite lady". 

It was here on the mountain behind the Hot Springs that  Chang Kai-Shek was finally captured.
